Hello, today in class we have been learning about different famous Maori’s that changed the world and mine was Billy T James.
The first thing we had to do was that we had to read a story about a famous Maori person which was only 2 pages. The story was honestly really entertaining but the worst thing about the reading is that I had to mote myself reading which I do NOT like doing. After the reading we had to translate a whakatauki that was on the slide we read the story on. My Whakatauki was ‘Me Te Wai Korari’ It means ‘As sweet as the honey of the flax’. The whakatauki basically means to be sweet and all that. After that we had to put it on a google drawing.
When we finished that we had to write about the famous person we have just read about. I tried making my google doc as simple as possible so it’s nice and easy to read instead of having to read six million paragraphs worth of information about one being. It was kind of fun researching Billy T James because I learnt heaps more about him like his wife and child. I also learnt about key events that happened in his life like how he got. In 1984 Billy won the Feltex Best Entertainment award and another for entertainer of the decade.
